When I have to choose between grilled or fried chicken, I put on my stretchy pants and pick fried chicken all day, every day. There is nothing like a superb piece of fried chicken with a thin layer of extra crispy batter and a juicy center. Even better, I love fried chicken sandwiches. When combined with the right seasoning, fresh vegetables, and the perfect bun, it is the ultimate comfort food that warms my inner Southern heart and soul….
Italian food is my favorite type of comfort food. I mean what sounds better than pastas, meatballs, cannolis, and more? Allende is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that you might pass over at first glance. I highly recommend you don’t or you’ll miss out on a treasure trove of authentic Mexican food. Although the interior design of the restaurant leaves much to be desired, Allende gives you great Mexican food for a price that won’t hurt your wallet….
