So, what is wheat germ? Wheat germ is the healthiest part of the wheat kernel that contains the majority of the nutrients. It is packed with protein and essential nutrients like Vitamin E, Folic Acid, Iron, and Fiber…to name a few. A 2-tablespoon serving is about 50 calories. Wheat germ has a nutty flavor and is incredibly easy to mix with yogurt, cereal, pancakes, muffins, smoothies, and more.

Smoothie bowls are my go-to for breakfast. It is quick, satisfying, healthy, and simply delicious. It only takes a few ingredients… but for you, I made my favorite recipe with lots of berries. For the smoothie, I used frozen berries, yogurt, banana, almond-coconut milk, and wheat germ. Then I topped the smoothie with fresh berries and shredded coconut.

I used Kretschmer Wheat Germ, Original Toasted. They also make a Honey Crunch Wheat Germ, which I haven’t tried yet.
