Logan Square is one of my favorite neighborhoods to eat and drink in Chicago because there are so many different types of restaurants for whatever mood you’re in. From Mexican to Italian to sushi, there is sure to be something to suit your taste!
While there are a wide selection of dining options in Logan Square, I have narrowed down a few of my favorites. Here are my Top 5 Restaurants in Logan Square…
5. Wasabi
Wasabi is my favorite place in the city for ramen. The noodles are flavorful and cooked to perfection. Their signature ramen is the Tonkotsu ramen, which is made with house-made noodles and creamy Berkshire pork broth that takes 45 hours to make.
They also offer a variety of small plates and a wide selection of sushi, nigiri, and sashimi. You can choose from several creative sushi rolls as well as the more traditional, simple rolls, which are the ones I opt for.
FAB TIP: BYOB

4. Osteria Langhe
Osteria Lange specializes in traditional Italian food using locally-sourced produce and meats. I first had dinner at Osteria Langhe’s sister restaurant, Animale, where I fell in love with their Plin Ravioli. I was told it is a modified version of their signature pasta dish at Osteria Langhe. From that point on, I knew I had to check it out.
This pasta dish is made simply with Parmesan, butter, and thyme… but it is extremely delicious! The plates are meant to be shared, but you’ll definitely want your own serving of this dish.
FAB TIP: Every Tuesday they offer a three-course prix fixe menu for $38.

3. Fat Rice
If you are looking for a more adventurous meal for dinner, then Fat Rice is the spot for you! They specialize in Macanese cuisine with global influences.
A must try here is their name-sake dish, Arroz Gordo, which translates to fat rice. This dish resembles paella and serves 3-4 people. It consists of jasmine rice with chorizo, sofrito, and salted duck and is topped with curried chicken, sausage, prawns, manila clams, Portuguese olives, chili lemon, char siu pork, pickled chilis, and a tea egg.
FAB TIP: Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
Also not to be missed is the Bakery at Fat Rice, which is next-door to the restaurant. The bakery serves pastries and baked goods with influences from Malaysia, China, Singapore, and Macau.
FAB TIP: I suggest you go early in the morning as they close once they sell out of pastries.

2. Table, Donkey, and Stick
Table, Donkey, and Stick is on a quiet stretch of Armitage Avenue so it is easy to miss if you don’t know about it. It’s a laid-back restaurant serving creative dishes like rabbit crepinette and duck sausage with seared foie gras. The menu is straight-forward with small dishes and appetizers at the top and a few bigger dishes towards the bottom.
The charcuterie board is great because they have a wide variety of meat and cheese options so you can customize it. We went with the peameal cacon, cancetta, Cava-Aged Chandoka, and Oma cheese. I also recommend you order their black garlic butter for the bread.
FAB TIP: Special wines are featured on Tuesdays.

1. Dos Urban Cantina
Dos Urban Cantina serves modern Mexican cuisine while remaining authentic. The plates are on the smaller side so it’s a good idea to order several plates for the table to share.
My favorite dish is the street-style corn because this was my favorite thing to eat when I was growing up. The corn at Dos however, is an updated, modern version of what I’m used to. This one is made with Cotija cheese, mayo, hominy, and masa pudding, which gives it a rich and creamy texture.
Another one of my favorite dishes is the raw scallops. It is different than traditional scallops and served with spicy lime aguachile, chia seeds, and roasted sweet potato. The combination of these ingredients gives them a refreshing and tangy flavor.
FAB TIP: Happy Hour is on Mondays-Fridays from 5-7 p.m. Half off appetizers, margaritas, and beer.
