February is the sweetest time of the year…literally. From heart-shaped cookies to red velvet cake, there is no shortage of Valentine’s Day themed treats. Whether you prefer traditional seasonal favorites or creative one-of-a-kind treats, my list has you covered.
With so many options around the city, I have narrowed down the ones that are worth checking out. Here are my “Top 5 Valentine’s Day Treats” in the city…
5. Macarose Gelato at Amorino
Amorino is my favorite spot for gelato in the city, so getting their Valentine’s Day treat was an obvious choice. The Macarose Gelato is offered every year so it’s something I look forward to during Valentine’s Day.
The treat is made with your choice of gelato and then topped with a gelato macaron and heart-shaped chocolate. Even though it’s been extremely snowy outside, it won’t stop me from getting gelato in the middle of winter.

4. Berry Bubbly Pie at Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits
Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits is a popular spot for freshly made pies and biscuits made from scratch. They usually offer seasonal pies so I was excited to see what they were offering for Valentine’s Day.
Behold the Berry Bubbly Pie. To best describe the taste of the pie is a chocolate covered fruit. Yum! It’s made with a rich champagne curd and topped with raspberry whipped cream and dark chocolate curls. The pie crust consists of a delicious and crumbly chocolate shortbread. This pie is a little slice of heaven.
FAB TIP: Limited quantities of Berry Bubbly Pie will be available for purchase in-store on Valentine’s Day.

3. Valentine’s Day Cake Shake at Public House
Public House always features an over-the-top shake for every holiday that you can’t find anywhere else. I’ve tried a few of their cake shakes in the past, but this one was definitely my favorite.
I’m normally not a huge fan of strawberry milkshakes, but I enjoyed the flavor combination. It was topped with a slice of heavenly red velvet cake, marshmallow Peeps, Hershey’s kisses, and mini heart candies.
FAB TIP: Cake shake flavors rotate.

2. Sweet Beet Latte at Werewolf Coffee Bar
Werewolf Coffee Bar is well-known for their rich coffee and unique Charcoal Latte and recently introduced a new latte just in time for Valentine’s Day… the Sweet Beet Latte. It is seriously the prettiest latte I have ever seen. I mean, just look at it!
It is made with pure vanilla bean, pink peppercorn, rose petals, and dusted with edible glitter. This latte literally shines. You can taste the subtle notes of vanilla with a hint of sweetness. It is a must try if you’re looking to mix up your regular coffee routine.

1. Cupid Shuffle Tacolato at Parlor Pizza Bar
Who says you can’t have tacos for dessert? Parlor has put an inventive spin on tacos that shouldn’t be missed. Their tacolatos are made with a waffle cone taco shell and filled with a variety of gelato flavors and toppings. They have several creative creations or you can build-your-own.
The special tacolato featured for Valentine’s Day is the Cupid Shuffle Tacolato. I have tried several flavor combinations and this one is by far my favorite. The white chocolate dipped waffle cone taco shell is filled with mouth-watering cherry cheesecake gelato and has a smooth and creamy texture. The tacolato is topped with mini cheesecake bites, mini chocolate chips, Luxardo cherries, and sprinkle hearts and served on a decorated tray. Just looking at this tacolato can put you in a sugar coma, but to my surprise, it wasn’t as sweet as you would think.
FAB TIP: Build-your-own tacolato available.
