A sandwich a day, keeps the doctor away! OK, maybe that’s not the correct saying but let’s agree, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You feel me? The Eastman Egg Company offers quick, quality food that will satisfy your hunger and start your day off right. Welcome to a better morning!
The Eastman Egg Company, a by-product of their food truck, specializes in farm-fresh egg sandwiches, seasonal snacks, and robust coffee. #BiggerThanBreakfast
{Ambiance}
Sherrie (@sherriesavorsthecity) and I visited the West Loop location in Ogilvie. We kind of got lost at first but once you find it (second floor), it’s easy to navigate. You ↓order here↓ and ↓pick up your food here↓. Got it? Got it. The space is cozy but modern.
How come no one’s looking at me? Hey, hey, Sherrie!
{Food}
The Eastman Egg Company pays great attention to the quality of the ingredients, which are locally sourced or made in-house. The best part…everything is made-to-order in under five minutes! Say what?
Coffee
I don’t know about you but I need to start my mornings off with coffee or I am literally dead…like zombie dead. The coffees and espressos are roasted by Irving Farm Coffee Roasters in Millerton, New York. The flavors are full-bodied and give you that extra boost to get through the day. Talk about a lifesaver!
I love you a latte!
The Beach Parfait
If you want something light, The Beach Parfait is a superb choice. The smooth and creamy Siggi’s plain yogurt is topped with simple granola (made in-house), and sweet honey. It’s a great healthy treat on-the-go!
Get jiggy with Siggi’s.
The Neighbor
I usually don’t like egg salad because for the most part, it is doused in mayo. Sherrie wanted to try and we were both pleasantly surprised. Their version was not overdone and the caramelized onions and basil added a nice sweetness. The ciabatta bread was fresh since it is baked daily from La Farine Bakery in Logan Square.
Egg-cellent combo!
The Fairfax
My favorite sandwich was The Fairfax. This ginormous sandwich came with a thick fried farm egg, Egmont cheese, chucks of sautéed bell peppers, wilted spinach, and house green goddess sauce on a 7-grain roll. It almost makes me want to become a vegetarian…almost. Oh, and I added avocado because why the heck not?
Eat your veggies!
The Turkey Cuban
The Eastman Egg Company offers a few lunch sandwich options from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Turkey Cuban is stuffed with hormone free and naturally raised ham and turkey from Slagel Family Farm in Illinois. The meat is sandwiched between two pieces of French bread and layered with white cheddar and quick pickles, then smeared with house spiced mustard and house garlic mayo. Now, that’s a sandwich!
Bird is the word.

{Experience}
The Eastman Egg Company is a great place to grab a quick bite during the workweek. Expect premium quality ingredients at extremely reasonable prices. The egg sandwiches are the star because #EverdayEastman you #PutAnEggOnIt. The coffee is strong, but in a good way.
